The Indian Constitution guarantees basic rights to its citizens, but does not allow one to take his own life. Not only is the right is the right given, but also attempting suicide is considered as a punishable offence. Now, is this right or wrong?
Don’t the people have right on their own lives? Haven’t they got the ownership of their own life? What are they supposed to do when they are out of options? People commit suicide not because they do not want to live, its because of intense pressure and tension. Then how can the constitution be cruel to them?
These are arguments which rise against the motion. But let me tell you, these questions are merely imbecile motions. The skullduggery behind the advent of such questions is lack of understanding the meaning of life. Here is the reply to the first two questions:
Yes, people do have right and ownership of their own lives, but the right is just to safeguard it, not decimate it. Taking a life intentionally is a crime, whether it be of others or our own. Our life, our family and our friends are the most invaluable treasures in our possession. The purpose of our life is to make all of them happy. By committing suicide, you are doing just the opposite.
Reply to last two questions:
People are never out of options. The number of options in front of us depends on our attitude and how we see things. For example, when you feel intense pressure, just look around and see the vast spaces. The same is with our lives. At times, all gates around us close down. Never consider it as a set back. Observe and find the niche which can take you out of all the troubles. Believe me, there is always a niche. All you need to do is trust yourself. Make your mind believe that there is no problem you can’t solve and all will be well.
All praises to Indian Constitution.
